Children should be reading at least 20 minutes per day and recording it in their reading diary. They should record the title of the book, the pages they have read and a few sentences about what they are reading. They could summarise the main points, make a prediction or comment on a new event or character for example. Please refer to the back pages of the home learning diary for tips on how to support your child when reading at home with them.
