BurlingtonJunior School

Burlington Junior School’s art curriculum offers children opportunities to understand and appreciate the visual arts as well as to stimulate their creativity and imagination.

Pupils use colour, form, texture and pattern, as well as different materials and processes to communicate what they see, feel and think. They are taught progressive skills in drawing, painting, sculpture and textiles.

As well as studying the work of artists through reproductions in the classroom, museum and gallery visits are undertaken to enhance their appreciation and understanding of art.
