Year 6 Residential Blog 2018

The day started with us saying goodbye to our loved ones and heading off for Frensham Ponds. Upon arriving, we had a brisk walk (3 miles!) around the lake, ate lunch and then off we went to the centre!

Our first challenge was to unpack and get ready for a room inspection. We made sure everything was organised and when the teachers came around, they judged our rooms out of ten. Room 22 won a bag of sweets!

The food was outstanding and we loved the unlimited salad cart; it was like being in a Harvester, but better!

We had the campfire tonight and that was sooo funny! We sang so many songs and told stories around the fire.

We are going to bed now as we have to be ready at 7:15am for a day full of fun activities! We will keep you updated with more tomorrow! Stay tuned.

Today has been the first day of activities and boy are we tired! We started the day really early and went over to breakfast. We had bacon, vegetarian sausage, spaghetti and unlimited toast, cereal and fruit!

After breakfast we headed over to the zip wire tower for some adrenaline fuelled fun! Although it was high, we all tried our best and challenged ourselves!

We also did archery which was so much fun! We felt like little robin hoods!

The best part of the day was going to the shops! There was so much to choose from and we ended up getting a few sweets and some drinks!

The instructors are really nice and encouraging and we feel safe and supported.

Can’t believe how quickly the week is going! Time flies when you’re having fun!

Can’t believe we are going home the day after tomorrow! It’s been the best time of our lives!

Today we did more fun activities such as sensory trail, problem solving and challenge course!

The weather was nice and hot so we managed to dry our clothing! We’ve got rafting tomorrow so we will use those dirty clothes again!

Looking forward to the disco and showing off our flossing!
