Day 1

Today has been an exciting day for the children. They have all behaved fantastically!  They have learned how to make bed, use a compass in the woods, orienteer around the site independently, traverse across the low ropes, ascend the climbing wall, bouldering and ballista. The children enjoyed the spaghetti bolognese and eager to have seconds! They realised that they can’t get away with not having a shower and yes, there is a bedtime. The children all slept well and eager to begin the mammoth trek to pitch hill.

Day 2

A hot breakfast to start the day with plenty of children choosing to fill themselves up, fuelled for the Pitch Hill walk. Everyone had a sense of adventure on our 2 hour walk uphill and not one child wanted to turn back. We soaked in the view of the hazy top gear test track, while munching on our packed lunches. With our bellies full again, our tired legs took us happily back downhill to our home from home. A quick change into our swimwear and we were ready to cool our muscles in the ‘scorching’ 20 degree pool. After a fabulous day, we relaxed playing games on the field. We also enjoyed our visit from Mrs Case, who was brave enough to scale Pitch Hill with us. We are already looking forward to tomorrow’s activities!
